Using augmented reality, Sumitomo Demag overcame these issues and were able to educate people and promote their equipment with greater efficiency and understanding. By enabling users to visualise the machines using a smart phone app,they created an accessible and easy to understand resource that was easy to transport and provided the next best thing to seeing the real world machines.

Users could view machines in 3D, explore their inner workings and select a range of interactive hot spots to provide even more information.
