Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality Combine in Children’s Toy Products
“Mardles” Artificial Intelligence (AI) Augmented stickers launching in Summer 2023
Mardles, the award-winning Augmented Reality children’s toy brand, are launching the most exciting addition to their range yet with the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence.
The special stickers can be placed anywhere in the child’s environment and display the animated digital version on being recognised by the free app.
Children can then instruct the character to perform tasks such as dance, walk and find objects by simply talking to them on their device.
The AI used not only interprets what the child is saying but uses the device to recognise objects in the surroundings and allows the characters to interact with them.
For example, simply saying “Can you stand on the apple?” will move the character to the apple in the camera view and celebrate when it is has been found.
This is the first of the implementations of AI into our very popular product range and there are more developments planned for the 2023/24 cycle.
“This is a revolutionary form of play between the physical and digital Worlds.
Children don’t just observe what’s happening, they control, interact and become part of the play with the help of some smart AI and the magic of Augmented Reality.
We have evolved the range using AI but we have some entirely new developments which allows children to voice and animate entire cartoons from our physical desktop toy.
For us, this is an exciting next step for the Mardles brand and toy innovation as a whole.”
Jason Higgins, Managing Director of Harmony Studios, owner of the “Mardles” brand.
The technology is available to view for visitors to the UK studio until launch in Summer 2023.
