3D Experiences

Our UK Team is composed of designers, 3D modellers, animators and AR programmers which give us the ability to deliver some great experiences for consumer apps, experiential marketing and events, B2B applications, advertising and incredibly engaging promotions.

We have also produced some educational tools which assist users in gaining understanding of complex issues in a simple, intuitive, user focussed way.

Storyboard Design

The first stage of any project is to storyboard the requirements with the client or partner agency.

This provides the template for timescales, deliverables, creative design and development.

3D Modelling

We create highly accurate models in-house from the client supplied source material such as photos, plans, production drawings, actual objects and sketches.

The process involves building skeletons (digital bones for moving and linking 3D objects), adding polygons (the points that create the shape of an object), textures (the 3D “paint” and images that overlay the shape of the object and, finally, the lighting behaviours (Shiny? Matt? Rough?).

As a technology, AR can have a very human face. Sometimes yours.

All good visual AR starts with relevant, rich and context appropriate 3D content.

We use architecture, products, people, places and environments to enhance visual information in AR.

Rapid Deployment Apps

With such a new technology, we like to let partners and clients get used to how it might work for them and their proposed use.

By building “no frills” versions of the concept apps which can be used by the client, we have found that it reduces problems, breaks down any big hurdles and allows the client to include now ideas at an early stage.

Animation

We animate in a variety of ways and to achieve a range of effects. Objects can be programmed with time, gravity, weight, friction and momentum for example. We also use some clever motion capture technologies to recognise, capture and compile people interacting with the surroundings.

We then combine animation, models and programming to deliver the immersive experiences of AR.

AR Recognition

AR recognition works in several ways. We can identify the environment by location (i.e. GPS) and project the digital information to the user based on which way they are looking or we can identify images, floors, walls and objects within their view and use this as the dynamic canvas with which to project our experiences.

Deployment

We can deploy apps to the public app stores, under enterprise licence or to individual nominated devices depending on the circumstances, client preferences and long term requirements.

We also provide on-site, fixed camera AR for large screen viewing of AR experiences.
